Leesa Frazier Fortenberry

Leesa Ann Fortenberry, 63 Ocean Springs, MS Monday, November 20, 2023 at home.

She was born on January 16th, 1960 in Gulfport, MS to Naomi Stover and Ferrol Frazier. She completed the 11th Grade at St. Martin High School. She was a stay-at-home wife/mother.

Leesa adored her grandchildren Harper, Alora, Zoey, and Nicholas and spoiled them rotten. She never said no to ice cream for breakfast or a late- night snack and always over indulged them with gifts and the like for their birthdays and Christmas. She was a selfless soul who helped whoever whenever she could whether it be with kind words, the truth, monetarily if possible, or with just a hug and "it'll be alright". She LOVED watching HGTV and giving her two cents on the interior designs on the houses they would show and what she would change. No matter the time of day, you would always hear some decade of country music playing throughout the house, and she dreamt of going to the Grand Ole Opry for a show or five.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi Stover and Ferrol Frazier; and sister, Joy Phillips.

Leesa is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fortenberry; daughter, Julie Fortenberry; grandchildren, Harper Mihalik, Nicholas Mihalik, Alora Mihalik, and Zoey Mihalik; siblings, Clary Frazier, Allen Frazier, Ferrol Frazier Jr., Margaret Kay Kelley, Aleta Spivey, and Tracy Phillips.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to show their respects to Leesa. A big thank you to any and all medical staff that helped with Leesa’s care throughout the years. And a bigger thank you to the EMS crew, firefighters, and Jackson County Sheriff Officer that did everything they could that unforgiving night.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Reception will follow at 6509 Shoshonee Dr. Ocean Springs, MS directly after interment.
