Mr. Leon Keith Scarborough, Sr., 70, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mr. Scarborough was born in Biloxi and grew up on the "Point". He was a U. S. Navy Veteran for almost 10 years and worked many years at Ingall's Shipbuilding and also with the Imperial Palace Casino. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2434 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather.
Mr. Scarborough is preceded in death by his father, Leon Scarborough, and a grandson, Cole Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Amelia "Chee-Chee" Scarborough; two daughters, Donna (Frank) Brewer, and Susan (Ricky Davis) Scarborough; son, Leon K. Scarborough, Jr.; three step-sons, Lonnie (Beth) DuVall, Dewayne (Lana) DuVall, and Grayson DuVall; his mother, Mildred Shafer Scarborough; three sisters, Janet (Lester) Shows, Linda Wallace and Joan (Ross) Bertucci; one grandchild, Candace Brewer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family prefers donations to the Salvation Army of South MS, 575 Division St., Biloxi, MS 39530, or the American Red Cross, Gulf Coast Chapter, 2782 Fernwood Rd., Biloxi, MS 39535.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
