Leona Annette Champion, age 86, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
Annette was a native of Oak Grove, Louisiana and a graduate of Forest High School. She has been a resident of St. Martin, Mississippi since 1967. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother. Annette was also a member of the Gulf Coast Family Church of the Nazarene.
Annette is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Vernon N. Champion; her son, Gary Lynn Champion; and five brothers.
Annette's survivors include her daughter, Karen Renee Champion (Mark) Howie; her son, Daryl (Hilda) Champion; her two sisters, Louretta Ward and Sue Evans; and her four grandchildren, Josh Frazier, Lauren Howie, Jonathan Howie, and Jessica Champion.
Visitation will be held at the Gulf Coast Family Church of the Nazerene on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
