Leslie Michelle Kujawa

Leslie “Pepper” Michelle Harvey Kujawa, age 41, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Leslie was born on April 21, 1981 in Sumter, South Carolina. She grew up on the Coast and was a graduate of Ocean Springs High School where she was a cheerleader. She attended MGCCC, Pekinston Campus and was involved with numerous beauty pageants. She earned her Masters of Law from California College and her Paralegal Degree from Phoenix College. During her spare time, Leslie was involved with Mission Trips to Mexico and was a strong advocate for the disabled- from helping children with learning disabilities to helping veterans with getting compensation.  She loved animals, pet sitting, helping care for other’s pets and writing beautiful poetry. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and for her love of helping and being there for others.

Leslie is preceded in death by her grandparents, James L. McNair, Sr and Louis and Mary Belle Harvey.

Left to cherish her memory include her father, Mark Weldon Harvey, Sr. (Lisa); mother, Deborah Lynn “Penny” Basque (Ben); brother, Mark Weldon Harvey, II; grandmother, Josephine “Mimi” McNair; her children, Devin Marcus Kujawa, Blake Austin Kujawa and Leilani Marie Kujawa; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a thank you to family and friends for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Also, a special thank you to First Baptist Church of Vancleave and to Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Vancleave at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Vancleave Cemetery #2.
