Lester A. Taylor

Mr. Lester A. Taylor, 95, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, August 22, 2009, in Biloxi. Mr. Taylor was born in Milton, FL and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Biloxi and a former member of Biloxi Elks Lodge #606. He was past king of Les Cavaliers. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wives, Cecelia Hosey Taylor, Virginia Davis Taylor, and Lillin Guest Taylor; parents, Charles W. and Nellie Swinson Taylor; sister, Nell Cooley; brothers, James Taylor and Charles Taylor; son-in-law, Robert Anderson; and a grandson, Frank Taylor. Survivors include his daughter, Cissy Anderson of Prescott, Arizona; sons, William (Gabriella) Taylor of Grand Prairie, TX; Charlie (Ginny) Taylor of Ocean Springs, and Jimmy (Betsy) Taylor of Biloxi; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations made to the First United Methodist Church of Biloxi, Building Fund, 14220 Hwy. 67, Biloxi, MS 39532.
