Lester Floyd Narbo

Mr. Lester Narbo, 82, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Friday, September 4, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Lester was the son of the late Lester and Mary (Cooksie) Narbo. For many years the Narbo Family ran Globe News Store in downtown Biloxi. Later Lester worked at Dees Chevrolet where he was the top salesman for many years. He coached little league baseball and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi. He was a member of the Lions Club, serving once as president. He was also an active member of the Elks Lodge and served as PTA President at West End Elementary School. Lester is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Narbo; his children, Steven Narbo and his wife, Stacey, of Madison, MS, Julie Corey of D'Iberville, and Lisa Vergano and her husband, Tom, of Diamondhead; his grandchildren, Devin and Katie Corey, Eric and Rachel Narbo, and Shane Vergano. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 12 noon at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Ave., in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
