Lettie Merle Ely

Lettie Merle Ely, 74, of Vancleave, MS, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Commodore Johnson and Sledy Johnson. Mrs. Ely’s survivors include her husband, Jimmy Ely; her daughters, Judie (Houston) Gay, Debbie Sanderson, Linda (Tommy) Johnson, Carrol (Johnnie) Willis and Sandra Haven; her son, Harold (Melanie) Sanderson; her step-children, Randy (Christy) Ely, Jimmy Lloyd Ely, Lynn (Anita) Ely and Paul (Loretta) Ely; 30 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ely also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, family members and loving friends. Funeral Services will be held at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
