Lida Jane Stronsky

Mrs. Lida Jane Stronsky, age 86, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, May 3, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Jane was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 30, 1920. In 1984, Jane moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to help care for her growing family. In 2000, she once again moved to be with her family to Ocean Springs, MS., where she remained a resident until her death. Jane was an exceptionally loving and self-less individual with a huge heart, always lending care and support to her family. Jane, so caring and understanding, will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, Raymond Basil Stronsky, Sr., her parents, James and Lida Condon Coleman, a sister, Helen Libert, and three brothers, Pierce Coleman,, Ronald Coleman and James Coleman, all of Chicago, Illinois. Left behind to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses: Raymond and Sarah Stronsky of Ocean Springs, MS., Brian and Tammy Stronsky of Chicago, Illinois, and Barbara Griffin and Anthony Lott also of Ocean Springs, MS. Her sister, Patricia Coleman Cortez, and husband, Orlando Cortez, also mourn her death. Jane also has five grandchildren: Sarah Beth Stronsky of Ocean Springs, MS., Brooke and Cara Jane Stronsky of Chicago, Illinois and Max and Jayna Griffin of Ocean Springs. The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to the individuals of Trinity Hospice of Ocean Springs, particularly Mary Thompson, Bernie McFall, and Chaplain Durr Graham, for all of their heartfelt care and support of the woman whom we all loved so dearly. Visitation will be on Friday, May 4, 2007, from 12:30 PM - 2 PM, with a 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. Jane will rest eternally in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made in Jane's name to the Alzheimers Association, 225 N.
