Lillian Ada Cruse Gavin

Mrs. Lillian Ada Cruse Gavin, died at 91 years of age Saturday, August 8, 2009. She was born December 22, 1917 in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident. She owned and operated Gavin's Grocery in Biloxi about 45 years. Mrs. Gavin was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Gavin; two daughters, Lois Dunaway and Sherry Eddy; grandsons, David Noble and Rory Dunigan; and great grandson, Jeremy Letort. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Dunigan, Kay Sonnier, Phyllis Brown, Lee (David) Sims and Sharon (Toby) Hinote; twenty two grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to the staff of Sunplex Nursing Center for the care and attention given Mrs. Gavin. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour before services. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
