Lillian Harwood

Mrs. Lillian Harwood, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Harwood was a resident of the community for 38 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She made hand-made occasion cards, was an excellent seamstress and cross stitcher, and was the past treasurer of the Gulf Hills Racquet Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eunice Vaughan and a sister, Christine Rawls. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, J.B. Harwood III, two sons, James Ray Harwood of Tucson, AZ., and Robert B. (Kathy) Harwood of Dover, DE., three sisters, Doris Diggs of Hampton, VA., Cindy Sadler of Williamsburg, VA., and Janet Vaughan of Florida, one brother, J.V. Vaughan of Hampton, VA., four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Friday, October 31, 2008, from 9 AM- 10 AM, with a 10 AM Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Peninsula Cemetery in Newport News, VA.
