Mrs. Lilly "Bea" Thibodeaux, 83, of D'Iberville, MS, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006, in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was born in Bayou LeBatre, AL, May 1, 1923, to Henry and Ella Roach Dockens. She was a member of VFW Post #6731, Ladies Auxiliary, where she voluntered birthday parties at nursing homes and hospitals many years. She was a member of VFW Cooties. She was a certified welder and worked in that capacity at shipyards during WW II, including Ingall's in Pascagoula. She enjoyed playing the guitar. Her greatest joy was her family and being a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her husband, Levis Thibodeaux, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Henry Ryan; son, James Matthew Tanner; brothers, Gladen, Wiley, Houston, Oliver and R. L. Dockens; sister, Maggie Sheffield, and one great great grandson, Landon Rodriguez.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Seymour and her husband, Alva, of D'Iberville, and Cynthia Moore and her husband, Larry, of Hodges, Texas; son, Wayne Thibodeaux of D'Iberville; grandchildren, Sandra Orr and her husband, Billy, Christine Cates and her husband, Donald, Alan and wife, Darlene Seymour, Scott and wife, Sherri Seymour, and Alva Seymour, Teddy and Katlyn Moore, Jeremy and Kristi Ryan, and Christopher and Tiffany Ryan; great grandchildren, Troy and Kristi, Brian and Jalena Taylor, and Ashley Taylor, Tammy Rohrbacher, Julie Elderkin, Billy Orr, Jr., Justin, Salena and Kayla Cates, Amber and Clayton Seymour, Jerika and Kelli Seymour, Austin, Lane, Dylan and Cole Ryan, Kayla and Dustin Board; great great grandchildren, Madison, Jared and Josh Elderkin and Justin Orr, Alyssa and Peyton Taylor, Ty Bostwick; and two sisters, Ruth Webster and Mary Magdelene Ard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
