Lily Mae Gilly

Lily Mae Grady Gilly, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in Ocean Springs. Lily Mae was born on March 3, 1922, in Biloxi to Eugene J. and Lily Rushing Grady. Mrs. Gilly was born and reared in Biloxi and raised her entire life on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast , which she loved. She was proud of the fact that she was baptized Catholic. Lily Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon K. Gilly; three brothers, Henry Grady, Eugene J. Grady, Jr., and George Frank Grady; three sisters, Ada Louise Grady Bergeron, Myrtle Grady, and Rose Mary Grady Martin; niece, Tamelia Grady Fountain; two nephews, Matthew Martin, and Patrick Grady. Lily Mae is survived by her sister, Audrey Grady; two brothers and their wives, Ennis and Yvonne Grady, of Lucedale, Richard and Delores Grady of Biloxi, and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs with interment following in Biloxi National Cemetery.
