Mrs. Linda Ann (Moore) Ruffin, 82, went to be with the Lord on April 29th, 2023.
She was born on May 22, 1940 in Pascagoula, MS. Linda grew up in Vancleave with numerous cousins and family members, where she completed all twelve years of school before obtaining her Associate Degree from MGCCC in Perkinston, MS. Throughout the years, she was a Sunday School teacher, Preschool teacher, church pianist, WMU member, and was the secretary at Vancleave High School where she retired. There is not enough space to list everything she was a part of during her productive life.
During her retirement, she and Mr. John loved to travel, go out to eat with friends, and entertain with pool parties or gatherings at their fishing camp. Anyone that met her knew that she loved her family, Vancleave, First Baptist Church Vancleave, our Country, and most importantly her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There won't be a time when any of us drive down Hwy 57 and won't look for her raking or burning in the yard or sipping sweet tea or coffee with someone on the porch. She was the epitome of a true Southern lady and never went anywhere without matching accessories or her lipstick. What she desired most was for everyone to know the Gospel, which is why her time with the Gideon ministry was so important to her. Her faithfulness, dedication, and love will never be forgotten!
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lula (Davis) Moore; brother, Gerald Lindsey Moore and her beloved husband of 58 years, John Howard Ruffin; all of Vancleave.
She is survived by her three sons, John William (Annmarie) Ruffin, David Mark (Leslie)
Ruffin, and Matthew Steven (Hollie) Ruffin; She was a well-loved grandmother to John Brandon (Lizzie) Ruffin, Madison Marie Ruffin, Davis Matthew Ruffin, Taylor Anne Ruffin, Stephanie Reynell Sharp, and T. J. Sharp; She was a caring great-grandmother to Raleigh Jean Ruffin, Athena Sweeney, Adam Nathaniel Ruffin and John Thomas Ruffin, all of Gautier.
"Her Children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:" Proverbs 31:28
"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate" Proverbs 31:31
