Linda Gail Mays

Linda Gail Mays, age 66, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. Linda was always loving, giving and had a heart of gold. She retired from Huntington Ingalls after an injury. She spent most of her retirement happily and whole heartedly with family. Linda was a proud mother but was even prouder of being a grandmother. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Peter Ray and Nola Mohr; brothers, Clifton “Jelly Belly” Mohr and Richard Mohr; and nephews, Travis and Jeremy Mallette. Linda’s survivors include her husband of 43 years, Joe Mays; children, Kristel (Nick) Berryhill, Gary (Amanda) Mays and Jody (Natalie) Mays; grandchildren, Damon, Haley, Lillian, Cambria, Blaine, Hendrik, Jacob, ToyLynn, Hunter, Keegan, Reece and Bella. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy (Clyde) Ely, Jeanie (Tim) Rockwell; her brothers, Ronnie Mohr, David Lee (Mary) Mohr and Jerry (Angie) Mohr; sisters-in-law, Pam (Justin) Inabinett and Linda Mohr; and her numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A memorial service will be held at the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
