Linda Rose Delcambre Griggs

Linda Rose Delcambre Griggs, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Born on November 13, 1954, to Paul and Shirley Delcambre Sr., she graduated from Biloxi High School and went on to obtain a BS in Elementary Education and an MS in Reading and Educational Leadership from The University of Southern Mississippi. After college, she worked for Biloxi Public Schools including serving as principal at Howard II Elementary School. She branched into educational technology before returning home, where she has been the Director at St. Paul UMC Preschool for more than a decade.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Shirley Delcambre. She is survived by her husband, Randall Griggs; daughters, Amanda Griggs, Jennifer (Kris) Karr, Stephanie (Cole) Krutz; grandchildren, Coulson, Adeline, Holden, and Katelyn; sister, Darlene (Chuck) Weems; brothers, Paul (Charlotte) Delcambre, Gregory (Malissa) Delcambre, and Barry (Stefanie) Delcambre.
She enjoyed traveling, the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by her extended family at St. Pauls, who knew her for her indomitable spirit, her reassuring smile, and her strong faith in God. It was here that she found so much joy and meaning with the teachers, parents, and above all the children whom she loved so dearly.

Linda was a wonderful, beautiful, and loving soul, who will be missed by all those who had the honor of knowing her. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12 pm, at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church in Biloxi, MS. Interment will be at Southern Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made to The American Cancer Society in Linda's memory.
