Lindsey Marie Cook, 28, of Hattiesburg, MS, passed into God's care Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Biloxi.
Lindsey was born December 11, 1982 in Hattiesburg, MS and was a member of Grace Temple Church in Hattiesburg and a graduate of Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Cavanaugh of Bassfield, MS. She is survived by her father and step-mother, Kerry and Bridget Cook of Hattiesburg; MS; her mother and stepfather, Jackie and Art Hewitt of Biloxi; her brother and sister-in-law, Nathan Cook and Nicole Stewart of Nashville, TN; her brothers, Matthew Courtney and Aaron Cook and Sister, Sydney Cook of Hattiesburg; her niece, Kalysta Stewart Cook of Nashville, TN; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Louise and Bob Mitchell of Lake City, FL; paternal grandparents, Charles and Frankie Cook of Clinton, MS; uncle, Charles Cavanaugh of San Antonio, TX; aunts, Deloris Walters of Gautier, Patricia McCarter of Huntsville, AL, Glynis Bismark of Hattiesburg, and Kimberly (Mark) Ross of Brandon, MS; her faithful and loving companion and caregiver, Janus Leo of Talkeetna, AK; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Grace Temple Church, 1193 Richburg Road, Hattiesburg, MS 39402. .Bradford-O'keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
