Lois King Wescovich

Lois King Wescovich, 74, of St. Martin, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Wescovich was born in Biloxi and had been a resident of the St. Martin Community for fifty years. She was of the Catholic faith. "A mother loves with all her strength, all her being, and all her heart." Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, homemaker, and caregiver to all in need-especially her grandchildren and her own mother during her final years. She gave herself unselfishly to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a gift of giving them all a hug with just her eyes. She will be sadly missed by many. Mrs. Wescovich was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence King and Vera Lamey King, two sisters, Janice King and Rosemary Hanson, and a husband, William "Bobby" Summerlin. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Roland Wescovich, five daughters, Linda Cannette and husband, Veryl of St. Martin, Susan Allen of Gautier, Cheryl Harris and husband Phil, of St. Martin, Phyllis Miller and husband, Rocky, of Woolmarket, and Jeannie Rosetti and husband, Tony, of St. Martin, step-daughter, Debbie Snyder and husband, Dale, of Ocean Springs, son, Joey Wescovich and wife, Tammy, whom she considered a daughter, of St. Martin, two brothers, James King and wife, Ethel, of Biloxi, Richard King of Woolmarket, two sisters, Shirley Wood of Fontainebleau and Glenda Seymour and husband, Henry of Huntsville, AL., eighteen grandkids and thirteen great-grandkids. Visitation will be on Monday, July 17, 2006, from 11:30 AM- 1:30 PM, with a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. The family would like to thank Father McInerney and Father White for their visits with her during her final days and for all the prayers of relatives, friends, and co-workers. A special thank you to the nurses and assistants of Ocean Springs Hospital and Trinity Hospice. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
