Lois Chandler O'Neal

Lois Chandler O'Neal, age 93, of Biloxi passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023.

 

Lois was a longtime resident of Biloxi. She was born in Mineral Springs, MS on April 11th, 1929 but spent most of her early life in Laurel, MS. She was a fantastic cook. No one ever came to the house, expected or not, and left hungry. Not eating was not an option. She also loved gardening. It was often said she could root a broomstick. She went to Cosmetology school in New York City and owned hair salons in Metarie, LA and Jackson, MS with her former husband, Lonnie O'Neal. 

 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Ado and Mollie Chandler; siblings, George Chandler, Nelson Chandler, and Margaret Pearson; and former husband, Lonnie O'Neal. 

 

Survivors include her children, Peggy Davis (Derek Rosenquist), Patti O'Neal-Cornwell (Ken), and Laurie O'Neal; grandchildren, Danny Kriss, Alyssa Kriss, and Connor Bowman; and great-grandchild, Jaylen Kriss.

 

A visitation will be held at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Ave., Biloxi on Saturday, April 8th from 2pm-4pm. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Lois Chandler O'Neal.
