Lois Lora Scarborough Parker, age 89, of Biloxi, was born on January 31, 1925. After struggling with many health problems her struggle ended peacefully and was gently cradled in God’s arms and taken to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, January 22, 2015.
Lois was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast and a faithful and active member of White Plains United Methodist Church. She enjoyed helping in her community and taking care of family.
She was the devoted wife of the late Litchel (L.C.) Parker and loving mother to her three daughters, Susan Rebecca Parker of Biloxi, Elizabeth Parker Mays of Latimer and Rita Parker Grimme of Ocean Springs; blessed grandmother of Rhonda Lichelle Mays (Jeff) Waits, Lawren Rebecca Slade (Chris) Chucta and Preston Grimme; and three adored great-grands, Sydney Waits (Jordan) Mallett, P.J. Waits and Stella Grimme, all of whom she was very proud of.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Emma Scarborough; siblings, Vincent, Felton and Everett Scarborough, Evie Scarborough Krohn and Clyde Scarborough Hudson.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at White Plains United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at White Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
