Loney Elizabeth Clark Telarico

Loney Elizabeth (Clark) Telarico, 96, of Ocean Springs, MS peacefully passed away on February 8, 2023 surrounded by loved ones who knew her best as “Mama T.”

Loney was born on December 13, 1926 in Pascagoula, MS, and met Angelo Telarico Sr. in Biloxi. Shortly after they married, they moved to Waterloo, New York, and together they went on to have four children. They also lived in Biloxi before settling in Ocean Springs. Loney was passionate about bingo, going to the casinos, and thrift store shopping. She loved to cook “Mama T’s Spaghetti and Meatballs,” and everyone loved her baked rock cookies, waffle cookies, and her famous applesauce cake. She was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. Loney was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family.

Loney was preceded in death by her parents, George and Theresa Clark; husband, Angelo Telarico, Sr.; siblings, Woodrow W. Clark, Minnie A. Stokes, Elmer P. Clark, and Lucile Noble; children, Francis “Flip” Telarico and Bobbie Jean Telarico; and special friend, Retha Cook.

She is survived by her sons, Dominic “Joe” (Laura) Telarico and Angelo (Sheri) Telarico Jr.; eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; two special nieces, Theresa Savage and Lizzy; two very special friends, Vickie Rettig and Glenda Patrick. We appreciate their love and support.

A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30PM.
