Lonnie Ray Arnold

Lonnie Ray Arnold, 85 of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

He was born on May 31, 1938 in Wythe County, VA to Lonnie and Blanche Arnold. He attended the Community College of the Air Force. He received the Air Force Civilian Personnel Specialist of the year award. He retired as a Chief Master Sgt. after serving twenty-five years in the USAF. He served as the director of retiree activist and also a regional representative. He enjoyed camping, fishing, coaching baseball, cutting grass, riding tractors, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Blanche Arnold; siblings, Bessie, Bellamy, Cora, Arthur, Margie, Nile, Arthelion, Ethelene, and Doris.

He is survived by his spouse, Althea A. Arnold; children, Linda (Dan) Pasquini, Mike (Elizabeth, “Kay”) Arnold, and Anthony Arnold; grandchildren, Tony (Summer) Arnold, Drew (Josh) Hornback, Ashley (Eric) Tatham, Amanda (Darren) Harbeck, Melanie Allen, Tricia (Dean) Cox, Chad Scarbrough, and Eric (Tania) Scarbrough; great-grandchildren, Van and River Arnold, Garret, and Emmet Allen, Eve Harbeck, CiCi, Linley, and Lonnie Tatham , Jeffrey Thompson, Christian, Alexandria, and Chloe Scarbrough, Ryan Tillman, Vivian Niolet, Ashlee Bush, Mason Cumbest, Amy Valentine, Derek and Christopher Lehman, and one on the way; and siblings, Patricia and Eddie.

The family would like to thank the Veteran’s Administration Community Living, Dr. Rebecca Jameson, hospice nurse Ashley, and Hattie, Mississippi, and Niagara Neighborhood’s staffs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
