Louis "Bill" Barlow, 56, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2009 after his battle with cancer came to an end. Bill was born and raised in Biloxi and attended local schools until his sophomore year of high school. After moving to McComb, MS, he graduated from Gibson High School with the class of 1970 and attended Southwest MS Jr. College for one year. At this point Bill went to Hattiesburg where he and some friends put a rock band together and in the fall of 1972 they moved the group to Ann Arbor, MI. They parted ways a couple of years later but Bill continued to live in Michigan until 1982 when he moved to Nashville and on to Austin, TX where he met his wife, Christine. They came home to Biloxi in the fall of 1986 to be close to family. Bill was on the road in the music business for some 20 plus years. The last 14 years were spent driving the custom coaches for various groups on tour in the US and Canada. In 1994 he decided to get off the road and stay home on the coast. The first few years he drove for a local bus charter company before going into the gaming business as a table games dealer. He worked at the Casino Magic, Biloxi until Katrina put them out of the picture. It was with a great stroke of luck and good fortune that he was hired at the Isle of Capri in January after the storm. Bill thought highly of the Isle and all of his fellow employees. They did so much for him and his family during these troubled times.
