Louis David Bond, age 67, died at home on Saturday, February 20, 2021, after suffering a brief illness.
He was born in Biloxi, MS and had been a resident of Vancleave for the past 30 years. He worked as an electrician at Ingalls Shipbuilding from 1974 until 2005 at which time he became Assistant Business Manager for IBEW Local Union 733, retiring from there in May 2014. Louis was an active member in the Union for over 40 years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Bond Sr. and Yvonne Munster Bond and Linda McQueen Bond, his first wife of 45 years.
Survivors include his wife, Janet, daughter, Michelle Bond, granddaughters, Marina and Salinity, great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Ember and brothers, Lamar and Doug.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 25th, from 10:30 am until 12 pm, followed by a 12 pm chapel service, led by Reverend Wake Inabinette, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
