Louis C. Villalpando "Mr. Vee", our father, a 30 year retired AF Veteran, sadly passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Our father was a brilliant man, known as, Mr. Vee or Louie, was one of the last underage WW II vets, along with being part of the Berlin Airlift, Korean war and three tours in Vietnam. Mr. Vee was an originial member of the Army Air Corp. Most known as a Coin Dealer/owner of M & L Gifts of Edgewater Mall for 35 years. He was the only American Numismatic Ambassador coin dealer on the Mississippi Gulf coast an honor he held proudly. He received the ANA Glenn Smedley Memorial Award in 2000 and the Medal of Merit in 2001. In 2002 he received the Krause Publications Numismatic Ambassador Award. Now he will be with our dearly departed Mother, Mrs. Mary Villalpando. Mr. Vee is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Vivian Chairez Villalpando. He is survived by Four Daughters listed in order by age: Mary Gasparro and husband, Paul, of Shawnee, OK with their children, Marty Harvey, Paul Jr. Gasparro and Elizabeth and her husband, Jonas Carvalho, who have 2 children, Colton and Cameron; Linda Mobley and her husband, Larry, of Biloxi and their children, Larry Jr. and wife, Candice, and their children, Cameron and Callie; Melissa Williams and her husband, Michael, of Biloxi; Jason Mobley and his fiance, Angelique Lore and son, D'Angelo and Ashley Mobley-Carnes also from Biloxi; Anne Villalpando of Biloxi and Son, William Edward Sells, III from Fort Sill, OK, and Barbara Baxter and her husband, Joe, also from Biloxi; brothers, Pete Villalpando of Flagstaff, AZ, Mike Villalpando of Peoria, AZ, Joe Villalpando of Phoenix, AZ, Lucio "Chef" Villalpando of Phoenix, AZ and Victor Villalpando of Glendale, AZ; sisters, Lucy Contreras of Flagstaff, AZ and Alicia Baca of Riverside, CA. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, West Biloxi. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 11:15 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Rd., Biloxi, MS 39531.
