Louis F. "Buzzy" Burns, Jr.

Louis F. “Buzzy” Burns, Jr., age 76, died Monday, December 26, in Gulfport. He was born in Gulfport and was a graduate of Gulfport High School class of 1952 and a graduate of Louisiana State University class of 1956 in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for Texaco for several years and retired in October of 1992 from Chevron after 30 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed fly fishing and fishing. He was President of MS Gulf Coast Fly Fishing Club for several years and was a member of Gulfport Yacht Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Francis Burns and Beatrice Duncan Burns. He is survived by his wife, Karen Burns of Gulfport; a son, Louis F. Burns, III (Tracey Lee) of League City, TX; and a granddaughter, Lillian Claire Burns of League City, TX. The visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport.
