Mr. Louis Irvin Hill, age 83, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Ocean Springs Singing River Hospital.

Mr. Hill was born on January 15, 1941, in Woodland, MS, to Harry H. Hill and Susie Irene Blair Hill. The family moved to Pascagoula in 1944 where he graduated in 1959 from high school, excelling in the electrical trades under the supervision of Charles Lambert. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and proudly served his country from 1959-1969. In the Navy he excelled in computer science studies under the P.A.C.E. Program through Old Dominion College of Virginia. He left the service as a First Class Electrician with a pending promotion to Warrant. He was hired in 1969 by the General Electric Company and ran 32 man shop for repairs and rewind of electric motors. He also ran his own electrical repair shop for ten years. Besides electrical, Mr. Hill engaged in woodworking and traveled extensively.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Milton, Chester, Sadie, Dorothy and Rosemary.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marsha Lee Hill (aka Penny), children, Sherri Lynn Hill, Scott Louis Hill and two grandchildren.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, there will be an 11 am graveside service at the Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
