Louis James Schoendorf

Louis James Schoendorf, 68, of Biloxi, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Mobile, AL. Mr. Schoendorf was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a lifelong resident of the coast. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Schoenforf was a lifetime member of the Biloxi VFW Post 2434 where he served as Post Commander. Mr. Schoendorf is preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Emma Fulker Schoendorf; his step-father, Edgar Buckley; his brother, Adam Schoendorf; and his sister, Brenda Payne. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Sheryl Schoendorf; his daughters, Tina Madsen, Christina Schoendorf, Angel Griffith, Kim Schoendorf, Jennifer Peart, Misty Anderson and Stacey Wolfe;his sons, John Schoendorf and George Ferrill, Jr.; his sisters, Barbara, Connie and Linda; his brothers, Ken and Michael; twenty-two grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The American Lung Association of MS, P.O. Box 2178, Ridgeland, MS 39158. A Memorial Service will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
