Louis "Pete" Suarez

Louis “Pete” Suarez, age 86, of Saucier, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Mr. Suarez was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. After graduating from Biloxi High School, Mr. Suarez continued his hard-working skills in the bottling industry for over 50 years.  Through these years Mr. Suarez not only lovingly provided for his family, but he also cherished many friendships with Barq’s Rootbeer and Coca-Cola coworkers and customers.

Mr. Suarez is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mattie Mae Suarez, wife of 59 years, Geraldine Broussard Suarez, daughter, Janeen Suarez Sablich, sisters, Betty Suarez Alexander and Barbara Suarez Reed and brother Wayne Suarez.

Survivors include sons, Ricky (Cathy) Suarez and Lonnie (Lisa) Suarez and daughter, Lorraine (Guy) Suarez Jermyn. Survivors also include brothers, Ronnie (Julie) Suarez, Joe Suarez and Frank Suarez, grandchildren Michael (Kristen) Suarez and Nathan (Emilee) Jermyn, Hannah Sablich and Collin Sablich and great-grandchildren Austin Suarez and Emily Suarez. These survivors along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will greatly miss Mr. Suarez.

In the future, each time you lean your head back to take a drink from a cold bottle of Barq’s or Coca-Cola, just know that Pete is smiling down from Heaven above where his body is whole, and his heart is healed as he worships his Lord and Savior with his beloved wife, daughter, family members, and friends that went before him. 

Visitation for friends will be on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Howard Avenue Chapel of the Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Peter Mallet Family Cemetery in Saucier, MS.
