Louise Lynd Murphy

Louise Lynd Murphy, age 90, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018. Born in Biloxi on February 5, 1928, Louise was a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She attended Ocean Springs High School where she met her soulmate and graduated in 1946. She was a past president of the Ocean Springs Garden Club and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Her real passion was her home and family. Louise was a true southern lady, and she will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Murphy is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lottie Lynd; and her lifelong friend, Charleen Robarge. Survivors include her loving husband, Thomas Patrick Murphy; her children, Thomas (Bonnie) Murphy, Jr., James (Deborah) Murphy, Dan (Janice) Murphy and Morette (Brian) Orth; her grandchildren, Patrick (Nicole) Murphy, Sean and Kyle Murphy, Joshua and Jared Rogers and Ariel Orth; her great-grandchildren, Owen, Kadence, Jackson, and Grayson Murphy; and her brother, Jerry Lynd. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Jackson County First Responders for all of their efforts. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning, July 12, 2018 at 10:00 am. Friends may visit one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
