Lt. George W. Allen, USN, Ret.

Lt. George W. Allen, USN Ret., age 82 of Ocean Springs, MS died, Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Allen was born in Los Angeles, CA and was a resident of New Orleans, LA for thirteen years and a resident of Ocean Springs for nine years. He is a retired US Navy Veteran who served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. He retired from C Cubed Communications Engineers in Pascagoula. Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Rocio Allen and a son, Lawrence Allen. Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Allen; three grandchildren, Nicholas Wimett, Lawrence Allen, II. and Savannah Allen. Visitation will be Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, July 5, 2010 there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
