Lucy Elizabeth Lee Benny

Lucy Benny age 93, passed away on December 18th at her home in Gulfport surrounded by her Family. She was born in Starkville, MS to late W.R & Shara Lee. She is survived by her two daughters and two sons, June Gooch (Mike), Lydia Easterling (Ricky), Eddy Benny (Brenda) and Mark Benny. She leaves four grandchildren; David Gooch Jr., Bryan Gooch (Sharlie), Jamie Docs (Kyle) and Lacy Benny. Also four great grandchildren; Taya Gooch, Sammi, Donavan and Jordan Hall. One sister, Stella Fortenberry and one brother Raymond Lee. Numerous nieces and nephews here on the coast, in Jackson and Starkville, plus other relativities and friends far and wide. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, W.R & Sarah Lee, her husband George E. Benny Sr., 4 Brothers, Rubin, Robert, Roy and Donald Lee and two sisters, Christine Walcott and Williie Lovett, daughter in law Rebecca Benny and grandson T.J. Easterling. Lucy Loved the Lord and anyone she met or that the “Kids” brought home. She was a longtime member of Handsboro Baptist Church and in lieu of flowers; memorials may be sent to Handsboro Baptist Church, 1421 E. Pass Road, Gulfport, MS 39507. The funeral service is Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 A.M.
