Lucy Tibodeaux Waits

Lucy Thibodeaux Waits, 87, of Biloxi, died on Thursday, January 12, 2012. Lucy was a lifelong resident of the Coast and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She is retired from JC Penney’s after 30 years of service. She enjoyed her outings with “The Girls”. She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. “Buddy” Waits; her parents, Pierre and Eula Thibodeaux; and a brother, Raymond J Thibodeaux. Lucy is survived by her daughter; Janie Waits (Gig) Tisdale; a brother, Kenneth J. Thibodeaux; two grandchildren, Jim (Tamara) Tisdale and Renee Tisdale; three great grandchildren, Alyssa, Avery, and Ashton Tisdale; niece, Phyllis Wiltz all of Biloxi, and a number of other nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2012 at Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Christian Mass will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 12:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where friends may visit the church from 11:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials in Lucy’s name made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
