Mrs. Lula Mae "Lu" Wilson DeSorbo, 79, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, August 15, 2009, after a brief illness in Ocean Springs.
Mrs. DeSorbo was born December 16, 1929 in Biloxi and lived many years in Mobile, AL. She was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Parish, where, in healthier days, she was active in many areas; especially the Altar Society, RICA and helping Phil in the Rectory. She was a loving wife, mother, granny and sister. Her family was everything to her. She will always be in our hearts.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank Seburn Wilson and Nancy Janie Walters Wilson; brothers, Albert Lyons and Hubert Lyons; and sisters, Jo Ohems Trevali, Mini Lee Reppentine and Anne Thomas.
Mrs. DeSorbo is survived by her husband of 62 years, William DeSorbo; Son, Bill DeSorbo and his wife, Helga; daughter, Sheila Yost and her husband, Freddie; five grandchildren, Garrett (Vera) DeSorbo, Tina (Marcus) Dimler, Jason (Cyndie) Yost, Alex (Stephanie) Yost, and Bridget (Adam) Houlihan; seven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Dearing; and two brothers, Tom Wilson and J. D. Wilson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, is in charge of arrangements.
