Lurline “Lena” Theriot, 84, of Biloxi joined our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
Lena was a lifetime resident of Biloxi, MS. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Girls Academy where she was a member of the Marching Band, serving as Drum Majorette. Lena was a longtime member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Biloxi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lena was very active in her community. She was a member of the Jolly Travelers, Fleur De Lis Ladies Auxiliary, La Petit Club, St. Louis Altar Society and Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels. Lena enjoyed and was known by many for her amazing catering talents. Chances are if you were married in Biloxi, she might have made your wedding cake.
She is preceded in death by her father, August Marie and her mother and stepfather, Mary and John Barlow; her husband, T-boy Theriot; her son-in-law, Michael Broussard; her grandson, Dougie Seymour; her great-granddaughter, Alena Drennen; her siblings, Doris Byrd, August Marie and Patricia Maliongas.
Lena’s survivors include her six daughters, Libby (David) Seymour, Becky Broussard, Mary (Ron) Pullen, Kim (Pat) Wylie, Dusty (Kevin) Burdine and Pinky (Steve) Walker; her baby brother, Donald (Carolyn) Marie; her twelve grandchildren, David Seymour, Jr., Kimberly Broussard Lyons, Jamie Drennen, Jeremy Pullen, Tommy Saucier, Jr., Dustin Broussard, Courtnay Pullen Morgan, P.J. Wylie, Sean Wylie, Marcus Walker and Jonathan Walker; and her eight great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to her caregivers, Pola Cannette, Kiki Scheich, Dorothy Hamilton and Kare-In-Home.
Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Nativity BVM Cathedral on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 am, where friends and family may visit from 10:30 am until mass time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
