Luther William McKinney

Luther William McKinney, 85, of Biloxi, MS passed away Monday, January 9, 2023. Mr. McKinney was born December 26, 1937 in Canton, NC to Roger McKinney and Helen Whitmire.

Mr. McKinney served in the United States Air Force for 20 years on active duty and 24 years civil service. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and playing ball.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger A. McKinney, Sr. and Helen Whitmire; and siblings, Ted McKinney, Betty Lou McKinney and Bryant McKinney.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Laura McKinney; children, Donna Silas, William Silas, and Michael Silas; step-children, Mercades Seaton, Linda and John Maloy, Raymond and Joan Paul Jr., Vanessa and Paul Dowdell, Frederick J. and Teresa Paul, and Gena and Sherry Singleton; brother, Roger A. McKinney, Jr.; and numerous grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.  A live stream of the service will be viewable below on this page.
