Lydia B. Seymour, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Seymour was a native and lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. While waiting for her fiance' to return from war, she focused her energy and efforts working as a welder at Ingall's Shipyard. In addition to raising seven children, Lydia helped her husband John run J&L Seafood, making and selling her famous stuffed crabs from 1957-1968. She had a passion for bingo, the Atlanta Braves, spending time at the casinos with her children and watching the golf channel, as well as other sports. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse M. and Leona Catchot Beaugez; husband, John Henry Seymour, Sr.; son, John H. Seymour, Jr.; sister, Rita Beaugez; three brothers, Wilfred E. Beaugez, Sr., Joseph Beaugez and Welber Beaugez. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Kay Seymour Bruening, Pamela (Arthur) Seymour Cox, Sheila Seymour, Rebecca (Nick) Seymour Gatian all of Ocean Springs; sons, Randall M. Seymour of Ocean Springs, Ronald Joseph Seymour of Mobile, AL, two sisters, Anna Mae Lechner of Vancleave, Annette Jones of Ocean Springs, ten grandchildren, Angie Batia, Amanda McCormick, Kristy Rogers, Keri Bruening-Henfling, Tina Weaver, Elaina Thompson, Leslie Kelley, Eric Seymour, Alyssa Acevedo, Yvette Lawler, thirteen great-grandchildren, Kane Wills, Gunner Batia, Kaylin Bruening-Munger, Dylan Weaver, Dawn Thompson, Kaden Batia, Jagger Batia, Arianna Thompson, Tyler Weaver, Jacob Kelley, Heather Lawler, Patrick Lawler and Austin Videkovich. Visitation will be Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. rosary, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe. On Friday, May 14, 2010 there will be a visitation from 9:00 - 9:45 am in the funeral home with a 9:45 am procession going to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church for a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial. Burial to follow in Bellande Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the The Lord Is My Help, 1205 Desoto St., Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
