Mrs. Lydia W. James, age 69, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, October 16, 2006, after a long illness.
She was a retired Federal Civil Service employee, having worked for over twenty years at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Washington D.C. as an Entitlement Examiner, and at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Antonio, TX.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her father, Mart E. Wethington and mother, Sylvania Brown.
Survivors include her husband, Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel James W. James of Ocean Springs, MS., four daughters, Diana Sterrett of Rome, NY, Deborah James and Karen Cox of Noble, Oklahoma, and Tracey James and her beloved little four legged boy, Peanut, and seven grandchildren, James and Rob Costello, Jeremy James, Whytnie Ricker, Jennifer, Bud and Andrew Lesiter, and five great-grandchildren, Lydia Kathryn, Amanda Lynn, Anthony, J.J. and Isaiah.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 19, 2006, from 1-4 PM, with a 4 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
