M. Lucille Dinsmore, 88, of Gulfport died Monday, February 13, 2012 in Gulfport.
She had been a resident of Gulfport for the past twenty-six years.
She began as a sharecropper’s daughter in the Mississippi Delta, working her way to New Orleans where she eventually owned her own dress and beauty salon. From there she built her own apartment complexes and 2 motels. She was generous, hardworking and instilled these traits with discipline in all of her family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Oren Dinsmore; a daughter, Mary Kate Howard; a son, Stanley Willis; two brothers, Homer Tutor and Carl Tutor; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, LA at 1:45 P.M.
