Mabel Kennedy Bellman, 91, was born April 1, 1924. . Better known as Patti, she was a part owner of Kennedy Engine Co., Inc. in Biloxi and attended work at Kennedy Marine, Inc. in Gulfport until her death. She graduated from Biloxi High School, attended Belhaven College for two years and graduated from the University of Alabama. She was a member of the Biloxi Garden Club and Biloxi Yacht Club for many years. Patti was the Queen of Les Masquees in 1953. She loved cooking, gardening, sewing and this is why she majored in home economics. She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Hardisty Kennedy; father, William P. Kennedy, Jr.; two brothers, William P. Kennedy, III and Thomas M. Kennedy, Sr.; her first husband, Wesley Eugene Courson of Andalusia, AL, whom she met in college at University of Alabama and second husband, Edward J. Bellman. She had two children that died early in life, Wesley Eugene Courson and Helen Elizabeth Courson. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Eugenia Courson and grandson, John Allen Gill, III and his wife, Beckie Gilbert Gill. Her family would like to thank Timmy Kennedy, Sr. and Laurie, Wanda Davis, Dr. Benjamin Gatewood of Regional Cancer Center, Ocean Springs for all their help.
