Mable Alene Livingston Redd

Mable Alene Livingston Redd, age 96, of Mobile, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.

Mrs. Redd was born on February 27, 1926 in Merigold, MS. She loved her family and watching sports. Mable was very spiritual and she loved praying, loved the Lord, and lived His word daily. Mable was so sweet and kind to everyone and had the sweetest “trademark” wink.

Mrs. Redd was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Gordon L. Redd, Sr.; her parents, John William “Big Daddy” Livingston and Vergie Quinn “Big Mama” Livingston; brothers, Tom Alex Livingston and J.W. Livingston, Jr.; and sisters, Hazel Robinson, Virginia Pounds, Clarice Ross, and Clemetine Tucker.

Survivors include her sons, Gordon L. Redd, Jr. (Donna) of Gulfport, MS, Kenny Redd (Lesa) of Mobile, AL, and Eddy Redd (Karen) of Madisonville, LA; sisters, Helen Mosley of Shreveport, LA and Jackie Kilpatrick of Greenville, MS; brother, Benny Livingston (Carolyn) of Smyrna, TN; 7 grandchildren, Bevin Brewer (Eddie), Trey Redd, Brandon Redd (Caitlin), Jonathon Redd (Gaby), Julia Grace Redd, Annie Redd , and William Redd; 6 great-grandchildren, Tripp Brewer, Isabella Brewer, J.T. Redd, Logan Redd, Liv Redd, and J.D. Redd.

The Redd family would like to thank the staff of Somerby Assisted Living of Mobile, AL, the doctors, nurses, and staff of Providence Hospital, and The Retreat, Hospice by SAAD.

A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Regency Church of Christ, 501 S. University Blvd., Mobile, AL 36609. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport, MS is honored to serve the Redd family.
