Maddison Lee "Max" Weems

Maddison Lee “Max” Weems, 79, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away at his home on Monday, January 16, 2012. Max was born in Hattiesburg and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past 45 years. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Max was retired from Ingall’s Shipbuilding. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Hinton Weems; son, Darren Patrick Weems. Max is survived by his daughter, Susan Weems; sons, Gary (Alice) Weems and David Weems; sister, Alice Dobson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in New Augusta Cemetery, New Augusta, MS. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
