Mrs. Maidie Wilkins Clendenon, age 85, of Gulfport, MS., died Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Clendenon was a coast resident for 18 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a former Sgt. in the US Marine Corp during WWII. Mrs. Clendenon was preceded in death by her father, Tellie B. Wilkins, mother, Nonnie Pully Wilkins, sister, Mildred English, four brothers, Frank, Roy, Richard and Tellie Wilkins. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Willie A. Clendenon, daughter, Linda Kadue, three sons, William Kessler Clendenon, Willie Arsie Clendenon, and James F. Clendenon, sister, Joyce Wilkins Dudney, brother, John "Pat" Wilkins, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a host of family and friends and a beloved first cousin, Maggie Wilkins Scott. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from 12 Noon - 2 PM, with a 2 PM chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
