Margaret Ann Thompson

Margaret Ann Thompson, age 90, formerly of Laurel, MS passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008, in Ocean Springs, where she had resided since the death of her husband. Mrs. Thompson moved to the Coast to be near and to care for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.B. Thompson, her parents, James Madison and Mittie I'Dora Cox, brothers, Shelton, Bill, Hayward and Howard Cox, and sisters, Lillian Johnson and Evelyn Breazelle, and daughter-in-law, Angie Thompson. Survivors include a brother, Dwain Cox and wife, Mary Ann, of Hattiesburg, MS; her children, Ann Thompson Kortman and husband Bill, and children Kimberly Kortman and her son, Tyler Toche, Kelly Beth Rooney and husband, Luke, and daughter Madison Ann, all of Ocean Springs, and Kara Kortman Schonberg and husband, David, of New Orleans; Joe Thompson, Brent and Barrett Thompson, Glenn, Nelly and Jordan Rose, and Hunter Deer all of Bay St. Louis, MS; and Beth Thompson Skjoldager and Larry Summerlin of Hurley, MS and Karly Skjoldager of Ocean Springs. Mrs. Thompson's four great-grandchildren are Tyler Toche, Madison Rooney, Jordan Rose and Hunter Deer. Services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008, at 1:00 PM at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs with Father Bernie Ferrell officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM at the church. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
