Margaret Kremer- Bond

Margaret Kremer-Bond, 96, of D'Iberville, MS passed away on Friday, October 2, 2009. She was born in Chicago, IL. She was a Captain in the Army Nurses Corps in WW II and served in North Africa, Italy and France. Margaret settled in Gulfport, MS after her marriage to Marcel Kremer in 1945. He preceded her in death as did her second husband, Metro Bond. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Martha Tholl and brother, George Tholl. Margaret was a very devout Catholic and was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport, where she was very active until she developed health problems. She was also active in Gray Ladies, Civic Society and St. James Altar Society. Survivors are a sister, Dorothy Ann Ellis of Gulfport; nieces and nephews, Michael (Gretchen) Ellis, James (Georgeann) Ellis, Margaret Ellis, Georgan (Jerry) Langford, Kathleen Atwood, Sharon (Theodore) Gelt, Charles (Solange) Kremer, Joan Kremer McGraw, Sr., Ardis Kremer, Henry (Willidora) Kremer, and many grand nieces and nephews; step-children, Carolyn (Larry) Bond, Jerry (Carolyn) Bond; three step-grandchildren and three great-step-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport. Friends may visit one hour prior to mass time. It was Margaret's wishes that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. James St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Greenbriar Nursing Center for their kindess and care of Margaret during her stay. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Deacon Dick Henderson of St. James Catholic Church for his spiritual support to Margaret during these last four difficult years of her life.
