Margaret Vivian Brown, 89, died on September 14, 2005 in Ocean Springs, Miss. She was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, December 29, 1915. Thereafter with her parents, Eugene and Florrice Sweet and sister and brother, she moved to Southern California. Margaret lived most of her life in the Southern California area where she met and married Willis P. Brown, Sr. and raised two children. Later she and her husband moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and then to St. George, Utah. She became a resident of Ocean Springs, MS in 1988.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Florrice Sweet, and her husband Willis P. Brown, Sr.
Her survivors include her son, Willis P. Brown, Jr. of Lakewood, CA; daughter, Sharon (Larry W.) Holt of Ocean Springs, MS; brother, E. E. Sweet of Tustin, CA; sister, Frances Sparks of Downey, CA; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three nieces, her caring church family and friends.
Her children and family will always remember her courage, strength and patience. Her gentle yet strong nature truly made her a woman of grace. Margaret was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs, a past member of the Ocean Springs Garden Club, Friendship Civic Club and the Discovery Club.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 11 am at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends can visit one hour prior to the service.
