Margie Harriet Westbrook-Edwards

Mrs. Margie Westbrook Edwards, age 80, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Thursday, January 17, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Edwards was a native and lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. She retired from the Ocean Springs School System as a bookkeeper and Federal Projects manager. She was a charter member of the Duchess Club and a lifetime member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, both in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce R. Edwards, Sr. Survivors include her two daughters, Jeanne (Bobby) Lewis and Jan (Harry) Roberts, son, Bruce R. (Sherrill) Edwards Jr, all of Ocean Springs, eight grandchildren, Melissa Lee, Amy Hunt, Lesley Lee, Justin Edwards, Bobby Lewis, Jr., Rachel Knewasser, Zachary Lewis, and Adam Roberts, seven great-grandchildren, sister-at-heart, Molly Edwards, lifelong friend, Peggy Dessommes, three sisters-in-law, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and her faithful pet, Beau. Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, 2008, from 5-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Tuesday, January 22, 2008, there will be a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may visit from 9-10 AM. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staffs of Hospice of Light and Home Instead Senior Class. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
