Marie Clemens Blanquart Obernuefemann

Marie C. Obernuefemann, age 93, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 in Ocean Springs. Marie was born in Collinsville, IL and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1958. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Altar Society. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary, Lay Carmelites, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and a volunteer at Ocean Springs Hospital. Mrs. Obernuefemann was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin Obernuefemann; two brothers, George and John Blanquart and her parents, Louise and Joseph Blanquart. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Obernuefemann and her sons, Andrew Obernuefemann, Michael (Bettina) Obernuefemann and Timothy Obernuefemann. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy, 735 Division Street, Biloxi, MS, 39530. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
