Marie Maxine Fore, 58, of Gulfport died on November 23, 2022, after a tragic one-car accident. She is survived by her son, Matthew Corbin Atwood; her mother, Donna Rayburn; and her father, W.C. Fore. She also leaves behind three cats, which are only a few of the many pets that she loved and cared for throughout her life.
A Gulf Coast native, Marie graduated from Harrison Central High School and made her life in the Gulfport area. For many years, she dedicated herself to raising her son and being a homemaker. She also was a creative, artistic person, who worked in a variety of mediums. Corbin had fabulous birthday parties growing up, thanks to Marie’s organization, inspiration, and artistic flair. That same creativity made her Christmas gift packages nearly too pretty to open, and her excellent cooking set a high bar at family events. After Corbin was grown, Marie re-entered the workforce, working primarily in retail.
Marie was a “young soul,” who gave the best hugs. She never lost her exuberance for life and brought a spark to every room she entered. Her family, friends, and neighbors will miss her dearly.
