Marie Lydia (Pavich) Doyle died peacefully in her apartment in D’Iberville, Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 86. Marie was a native of Biloxi, MS, and was of Croatian and French Descent. She lived on the Point of Biloxi until Hurricane Katrina. She was Catholic and a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church. She was retired from the Harrison County Tax Assessors office where she worked for 30 years, under the Tax Assessor, Jimmy Wetzel. Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Donald F. Doyle, Jr her oldest son, Steven D. Doyle of Biloxi; her parents, Steve Pavich and Laurence M. Thibodeaux Pavich; and her only brother, Joseph A. Pavich of Metairie, LA.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. Doyle and wife, JoAnna Broussard Doyle, of Biloxi and Don “Donnie” Doyle of Biloxi and partners, Joseph T. Cox and Daniel R Cavaco; daughter-in-law, Pamela S. Doyle of Biloxi; her daughter, Lydia M. Costa and husband, Greg, of San Angelo, TX; her grandchildren, Jonathan A. Doyle, Tamara Leigh Doyle, Taylor Doyle Fox, Blair Doyle Lang and husband, Chad Lang; and two great-grandchildren, Ava and Eli Fox.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. A graveside burial will follow at the Biloxi City Cemetery, North side plots.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made in Marie’s name to Saint Vincent DePaul Society at St. Michael Catholic Church, P.O. Box 523, Biloxi, MS 39533.
