Marilee Turner Madison, age 94, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Born outside of McEwen, TN, in 1930, Marilee moved to Mississippi in 1951.  She was a graduate of Delta State University, in Cleveland, MS, where she earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in history education.  In 1971 she moved to Biloxi with her family where she taught history and government at Biloxi High School for over 20 years. After retiring from the school system, she was a volunteer at Gulf Islands National Seashore and an active member of P.E.O. International, Chapter D, Biloxi. She was an avid reader who loved to exchange ideas through her keen conversations. 

Marilee is preceded in death by her parents, Mabel Spring and Harry Enloe Turner; sister, Thelma Turner; and daughter, Jackie Lynn Madison. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 75 years, Jack Vernon Madison; daughters, Diane Madison, Marjorie Bond, and Mary Jo Scott (Bill); grandchildren, Anna Joy Mallard (Joshua), Emily Madison-Cooper, and John Scott; and great-grandchild, Isaiah Erne Mallard. 

Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
